Our name was put together from two words: Infinity, which stands for the sheer endless possibilities of how to achieve a goal, and root, which represents the "root" (administrator) user on Unix systems.
Infiniroot GmbH, as the full legal name states, is a Limited Liability Company (LLC) based in Switzerland, founded in 2013 by Senior Systems Engineers Fabien Huttin and Claudio Kuenzler. Initially we created the company for the purpose of helping a former colleague to build a highly secured mobile payment infrastructure. The word of our work spread and we count a growing number of customers since. With highly experienced systems engineers we deliver fast and high quality support and an outstanding infrastructure and systems engineering experience.
Our strength is to find a solution for a technical challenge. And if it's about a web application platform, you've hit the spot with us. We plan and build system architectures around web applications and ensure it's security and stability. But our work doesn't have to be purely technical as we are also sharing our knowledge by offering troubleshooting and consulting services.
Let us counter this with: Why not? The Open Source mentality is what we believe in and we actively contribute in a number of ways to the Open Source community. Our tech blog and publicly available monitoring plugins are small but important ways of giving back to the open source community.
In general we would like to be understood as "datacenter agnostic". This means we have no fixed preference where the servers should (physically) be located. Depending on customer requirements (or even laws), the servers need to run in a specific datacenter or country. Thanks to remote access technologies (SSH, VPN, etc) we can manage the servers anywhere - whether on customer premises or in the cloud. We do however have our own servers, too. They are currently located in a secure datacenter in the Zurich, Switzerland area. You can find out more about our physical server infrastructure and datacenter.
